1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using lazychefmagic.com (the “Site”), you (“you” or “User”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the “Terms”) and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Site.

2. Who We Are

Lazy Chef Magic is an online recipe blog owned and operated by Amanda Taylor, 155 N 1st Ave, Hillsboro, OR 97124, USA (“Lazy Chef Magic,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Site. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Site Content & Intellectual Property

All recipes, photos, graphics, logos, text, and other materials on the Site (“Content”) are owned by or licensed to Lazy Chef Magic and protected by U.S. and international intellectual-property laws. Except for limited personal use described in Section 6, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

5. User-Generated Content

You may submit comments, ratings, or other content (“User Content”) provided that it:

  • Is original and you own or control all rights;

  • Does not defame, harass, or infringe any third-party rights;

  • Is lawful and free of malware or malicious code.

By posting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in any media. You retain ownership of your copyright.

We reserve the right (but not the obligation) to remove or edit User Content at our sole discretion.

6. Permitted Personal Use

You may:

  1. View and print one copy of a recipe for private, non-commercial kitchen use.

  2. Share a short excerpt (up to 100 words) on social media with a clear link back to the original post.

Any other use (including re-publishing full recipes, photos, or videos) requires prior written permission.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Violate any law, regulation, or these Terms;

  • Post or transmit spam, viruses, or harmful code;

  • Scrape, crawl, or employ automated bots to extract data;

  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to access the Site’s source code;

  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation;

  • Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the Site’s operation.

8. Termination & Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any reason we deem appropriate. Sections 4–12 shall survive termination.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and Content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lazy Chef Magic, Amanda Taylor, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Site;

  • Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in Content;

  • Third-party links, ads, or products;

  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lazy Chef Magic, Amanda Taylor, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your User Content, or any breach of these Terms.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Washington County, Oregon for any dispute arising under these Terms.

13. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration (Optional)

At our sole discretion, we may require you to submit any dispute to confidential binding arbitration in Portland, Oregon, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual-property matters.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

15. Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms plus our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and other posted legal pages constitute the full agreement between you and us.

  • Severability: If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.

  • No Waiver: Failure to enforce any right or provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.

  • Assignment: We may assign our rights and obligations; you may not without prior written consent.
