Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain them well and set aside.
In a large saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour the heavy cream into the saucepan and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently.
Reduce the heat to low and gradually whisk in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Gently add the cooked tortellini into the cheese sauce, folding to coat each piece.
Transfer the tortellini mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top and add breadcrumbs if desired.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Allow to cool for a few minutes, then garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
