Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, and crushed red pepper flakes. Stir until well blended and heated through for about 3-5 minutes, then remove from heat.
Pour half of the sauce over the chicken wings and toss to coat evenly.
Spread the coated wings on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the wings from the oven and brush with the remaining sauce. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Let the wings rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
Transfer the wings to a serving platter and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
For an attractive display, serve the wings on a rustic wooden board with a small bowl of dipping sauce in the center. Add lime or lemon wedges for a zesty twist!
